Swatches - Shimmer Polish: Sarah & Stephanie

Hi,

A while ago I was sent a glorious package filled with Shimmer Polish goodies, and oh my, they really are as gorgeous as they look in photos! I received quite a few different shades to play with and will be showing you all of them in the coming weeks! The first two I want to share are Sarah and Stephanie (all Shimmers are named after friends and family of the maker!) and if you're a fan of the more sparkly things in life, do read on ;)

On the left is Sarah, on the right Stephanie

Follow the jump for more!

All shimmer polishes come in standard round 15ml bottles, with a comfortable round, straight brush. The base the glitter is suspended in is on the thick side, which makes spreading the glitter out over your nails super easy. No fishing required!

First up we have Sarah
Sarah is a clear based glitter topper with a mix of blue, turquoise, gold and purple hex glitter, with a few larger glitters in iridescent gold and blue mixed in. It reminds me of mermaids and peacocks! So good.
I used one easy coat of Sarah over Models Own Mushroom, finished with a coat of Nayll Smooth it Out Glitter TopCoat to add some shine.

Up next is Stephanie
Stephanie is a clear based glitter topper with a mix of blue, purple, red, pink, holographic pink and metallic blue glitter. I felt it was a great mix and consistency for a glitter gradient, so that's exactly what I did! The matte top coat made it easier to show off all the different types of glitter.
I used two dabbed coats of Stephanie over a base of Essence Date in the Moonlight, finished with a coat of Hema Top Coat Matt.

Shimmer Polish are cruelty-free and can be found here, full sized 15ml bottles are sold for $12. You can also find Shimmer on Facebook and Twitter.

What do you think? Which of these is your fave? Have you tried Shimmers before? Let me know in the comments below!

These products were sent to me for an honest review. Please read my full disclosure here

  3. Beautiful on you! Looks great over matte! I'm wearing a gradient with the orangey Trisha right now. Good stuff.
